My objective is to continue my career in the outside facilities engineering and construction. The work is rewarding and challenging for me. Having recently been bought out from Verizon Maryland, Inc in 2010 (and its predecessors) completing 11 years of employment, 5 of those years were spent in Central Office and outside construction and maintenance, 6 years in Outside Plant engineering.

    With the demand growing exponentially for adding technology, upgrading, and maintaining the infrastructure , the use of Telco/Power company experienced people can be a great asset to any organization. I take a great deal of pride in my knowledge and experience in outside plant for poles/conduit and the other forms of communications infrastructure.

January 2012-Assistant District Utility Engineer for State of Maryland MDOT

Present

·      I am currently assisting the senior team engineers in overseeing 

                                  Consultants, contractors and state employees in the execution of

                                     utility modifications related to multiple transportation projects 

·     Work with utility companies with relocation due to State Highway projects.

·     Supervise utility and access permit inspectors

·     Expert in Utility permits, Utility Statements, specifications, and construction techniques pertaining to utility modifications for transportation improvements as shown in the Consolidated Transportation Program and Advertisement Schedule.

·     Develop, write and Deploy Utility Statements, Utility Permits, specifications, and construction techniques pertaining to utility modifications for transportation improvements, facility upgrades, and new construction

·     I assist with the coordination of the utility companies with their relocation schedule, plans, right of way, and vouchers payable.

·     Perform and/or review design engineering plans for relocation of utilities both horizontal and vertical.

·     Conduct meetings to review and resolve utility conflicts

·     Work with County, City, and Government Agencies
